You may ask, “What is a Techno Contra?”
Techno is the catch phrase for high energy contra dancing to modern music
accompanied by special effects lighting. The music could be what you hear
on the radio, or any other modern genre. The tempo is typically more lively
than a traditional contra dance, and the length of time a dance lasts may vary
from single songs to medleys. T.E.C.H.N.O.P.H.O.R.I.A...dances are medley style.
We choose genres that include Trance, Techno, House, Tech House, Modern Rock,
Alternative 80’s/90’s, Industrial Electronica, Retro Classics, and Today’s Hits.
